SFCDC event: Miami Affordability Project – Liberty City

MAP Liberty City

The Miami Affordability Project (MAP) tool provides accessible, free data to planners, policymakers and community based organizations for immediate use in developing effective policies, programs and projects.

The purpose of this workshop is to:

  • Demonstrate how to navigate MAP, including maps that show the distribution of affordable housing and local housing needs.
  • Show how MAP can help develop solutions to Liberty City’s housing priorities.
  • Demonstrate how nonprofits and other smaller scale developers can use MAP to identify opportunities to use existing affordable housing incentives in Liberty City.
  • Obtain community feedback from you to develop a local policy toolkit that will accompany MAP.

South Florida Community Development Coalition, Inc has partnered with the University of Miami Office of Civic and Community Engagement to host this meeting. The meeting is designed for nonprofit developers and community based groups, local government staff, CRA staff and board members, elected officials, and members of the business community.
