Opportunity360

To improve neighborhoods and quality of life, we must understand various aspects of a neighborhood, its residents, housing, access to employment, business, education, health services, transit, parks and more. Understanding the interconnections of these areas is the first step to improving access to opportunity. The second step is being able to use this information to engage in cross sector solutions and make strategic and equitable investments.

South Florida Community Development Coalition also believes that with the equitable investment we can create opportunity right where people are.

SFCDC Member, Enterprise Community Partners, recently launched Opportunity 360. The tool is intended to help communities understand and addressing community challenges by identifying pathways to greater opportunities using cross-sector data, community engagement and measurement tools. The goal of the tool  is to help communities make smarter investment and create collaborative solutions. The tools and resources in Opportunity 360 are also intended to facilitate strategic asset-building approach to community development.

SFCDC Participates in Bank of America Roundtable

November 16, 2017 – SFCDC’s executive director, Shekeria Brown, participated in a Bank of America Roundtable with other Miami-Dade community leaders. We thank Bank of America for the opportunity to participate in this important conversation and for being a partner of SFCDC for so many years.

As a result of Bank of America’s continued support, we have been able to continue building capacity of nonprofits and the community development sector, shaping local policy and cultivating partnerships to expand affordable housing and community development in Miami-Dade County. #BofaGrants
